Asher GeffenIsrael Lead
Asher leads our efforts to connect with the Israeli innovation ecosystem. Asher has been working as a management consultant for McKinsey and as an independent consultant for the past 3 years, serving industry leading companies in cost reduction and strategic turnaround programs, as well as preparing Start-ups for investment rounds. Prior to consulting, Asher worked for Intel and in the Israeli public sector leading business operations and strategic initiatives. Outside of work Asher enjoys long runs, trekking and music. Asher plays clarinet in the Beersheva municipal wind orchestra.
Brian MilchHead of Operations
Brian leads HR, finance, business, and sales operations for the Fast Growth team. A long-term McKinsey-ite, Brian spent 6 years as a consultant in our healthcare practice and then served for 9 years as a subject matter expert in the firm’s Healthcare IT practice. When he isn’t keeping our team running smoothly, Brian can be found talking food, family and anything New York Giants.
Chandra GnanasambandamSenior Partner
Chandra leads McKinsey’s Fast Growth Practice globally, and also advises other clients on business transformations by helping them define new product-development road maps, setting effective go-to-market strategies, and shaping high-level corporate strategy. Before joining McKinsey, he was a Java architect and a tech-industry account director. Chandra is passionate about the impact of technology trends on global business practices, and frequently speaks on the topic at conferences and panels in the United States and India.
Heather KingCMO, Fast Growth Tech
Heather leads marketing for the Fast Growth team. Before joining the team, Heather spent over 20 years working with technology start ups – as an operating executive with companies such as Apple, Recollections (which supplied Apple iPhoto) and as an agency consultant for Disney, Oracle, Microsoft, Tesla, and multiple early stage teams. She also spent 4 years as a branded freelance media producer for Reuters and GreenBiz focusing on leadership, business model transformation, and sustainability. Heather is passionate about innovation and the call for technology to solve the world’s major challenges, such as climate change and education. She serves on the board of an incubator for environmental non-profits, TCI.
Holger KlaernerVP, EMEA
Holger works with fast-growing companies and their funders across Europe, focusing on Germany, the UK, Scandinavia and Israel. Formerly, Holger was the MD & COO of Q-Cells International, a fast growing tech company in the space of cleantech/renewables, and has held several director positions at a major investor-owned utility, focusing on cleantech and distributed energy. Outside of work, he loves sports and mountaineering, as well as music, including a stint as the front man and lead singer for McKinsey’s Berlin Office Band.
Jesus BolivarPlatform Product Manager
Jesus Bolivar leads the Fast Growth Tech Platform, where we are building the next generation of solutions that help Startups, Corporate Venture and Venture Capital firms achieve their goals. He is an Aerospace Engineer, Entrepreneur and Economist with extensive experience in product development. Jesus has led numerous enterprise products from conception to launch at startups in the fin-tech, work automation and enterprise space. He can be found snowboarding with his two kids in the winter and skateboarding through Oakland the rest of the year.
Judy WadeCo-Head of FGT Practice
Judy leads development of our offerings for startups and growth equity companies. Before joining the team, Judy was a serial CEO and SVP for hire to help startups grow – including for Retail Solutions, Alivecor, and Second Life. She was also a former McKinsey partner. She is passionate about how technology can improve education. She loves chasing after her 12 year old daughter and/or three beagles, and obsessively watches Cal football (or any Cal sport for that matter).
Junaid MohiuddinHead of B2B and SaaS
Junaid leads our SaaS practice where he helps startups grow their enterprise value. Prior to joining our team, he helped his last Silicon Valley based SaaS startup achieve a unicorn exit via its successful IPO on NASDAQ. Before that, he helped launch one of the fastest growing internet security startups emerge out of stealth mode through their series B. Outside of work, Junaid can be found competing in tennis and golf tournaments.
Ken FenyoHead of Consumer Markets
Ken leads our Consumer Markets team developing client relationships, benchmarking tools, and knowledge for business to consumer e-commerce, marketplace, and digital media companies. He is the former CEO of YOU Technology, the largest retail digital coupon network in the U.S., and former VP, Loyalty at Kroger, the largest supermarket retailer in the U.S., where he was responsible for loyalty programs, digital marketing, e-commerce, customer insights & analytics, and pricing strategy. He is passionate about how technology is changing how, when, and where we shop. When he isn’t running our consumer markets team, he runs, bakes bread and tries to keep up with his three kids.
Michael BursteinKnowledge Leader
Mike leads our efforts to generate and disseminate new and unique insights into how growth tech companies can grow faster and more efficiently. Mike returned to McKinsey from academia, where he wrote and taught about intellectual property, innovation policy, and law and entrepreneurship. He was previously an appellate lawyer in private practice and government. He is passionate about how small companies drive innovation and how that innovation affects business, policy, and everyday life. He’s a fan of food & wine, the New York Mets, all things Star Wars and Disney, and everything related to the small adventure of parenting a 10 year old.
Michael UhlCV 2020 Leader / Partner
Michael is a McKinsey Partner and leads our Corporate Venturing 2020 and Innovation Bootcamp offerings. He is passionate about transforming industries and growing companies, having both worked with traditional large companies andscaled up 15+ companies over the last 20 years. He loves anything to do with the outdoors and spending time with his 2 kids.
Michelle Koh PottsSolutions Leader
Michelle leads our team building solutions to help start-ups achieve their goals, track their success, and connect with each other and McKinsey. Michelle returned to McKinsey after 6+ years building products at Zynga, Dealpath, and other start-ups, as well as consulting with clients on digital and mobile strategy. She is passionate about how the internet and mobile technology transform how we work, play, and live. She loves food, photography, knitting, and spending time with her dog Bello.
Mike JaronData Scientist
Mike leads our data science initiatives for the Fast Growth Tech team. Prior to joining, he worked at Google developing NLP-based technology for commercial application. He is passionate about helping companies leverage data to make business decisions. When he is not attached to his computer you can find him playing soccer, running, biking, or at home watching movies.
Peter WeedPartner and Co-Head of FGT Practice
Peter Weed leads market development for McKinsey’s Growth Tech Practice, and is a Partner in the Boston office. Before setting up the Growth Tech practice, Peter served leading telecoms, cable companies, consumer internet/SaaS/XaaS players, network infrastructure OEMs, consumer mobile/PC/device OEMs, enterprise infrastructure OEMs and SW/SaaS/PaaS/IaaS vendors, and chip vendors. In his spare time, Peter enjoys spending time with his kids, playing mobile games, and eating and drinking with friends.
Simone GammeriCV 2020 and MIB leader
Simone is an Associate Partner in San Francisco and leads our Corporate Venturing 2020 and Innovation Bootcamp offerings. He is passionate about customer experience and innovation, with a focus on financial institutions. He works at the intersection of large companies, startups, and VCs to spearhead industry transformation. In his free time, he loves biking, playing golf and spending time with his wife and his dog.
